About the role

  • The Manager, Partnership & Business Development is responsible for channel partnership strategy, execution, and overall management of partner relationships.

  • Working with our Head of Business Development, this person has a unique opportunity to shape Boulder Care’s growth and brand, as partnerships are the most important contributor to the company’s revenue growth.

Success in this role

  • Own strategic channels and partnership strategy and execution, including relationships with public and private health plans, primary and specialty care providers (telemedicine-based and brick-and-mortar), community-based organizations, hospitals/health systems, and self-funded employers

  • Develop relationships with key partners in target geographies to build ecosystems of care around individual patients: augmenting Boulder services with local resources

  • Represent the company at conferences and events

  • Introduce the Boulder Care platform to new channel partners; articulates the business value in a way that is clear and compelling

  • Negotiate and manages execution of channel partnership agreements

  • Partner with channel partners on communications strategies to drive measurable engagement with the Boulder platform

  • Overachieve on KPIs associated with partner development, including Boulder participant enrollments and contribution to revenue goals

  • Develop client-facing materials for business development discussions, including market / policy research, financial analysis, member cohort analysis, presentation of outcomes data and case studies, etc. to make a rigorous case for partners about the return on their investment

  • Analyze market research to inform strategies for new market activation and business development priorities

  • Support regular data reporting, communications, customer success and partnership development with existing clients (leading health plans and employers), nurturing strong long-term relationships 


Requirements for this role

  • 5+ years of business development, strategic alliances, enterprise sales, customer success or similar experience

  • Partnership experience in the healthcare sector

  • Skill in working cross-functionally (including with Boulder’s leadership, marketing, product, and research teams) and driving alignment and collaboration across an organization

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

  • Demonstrated experience in complex channel partnerships and/or B2B healthcare market

  • Previous experience negotiating contracts with health insurers

  • Strong project management & organization skills – ability to source net-new partnerships, close contracts, implement new partners, and drive ongoing business results with a portfolio of partners

  • Desire to learn, grow & develop, and to mentor future team members

  • Passionate about the intersection of technology and healthcare

  • Willing to travel 20-50% when it’s safe and reasonable to do so in the future

  • Skilled at building relationships with various channel partners (e.g. health plans, hospital/health systems, employer benefit teams, patient referral platforms).

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.

  • Team-focused; effective collaboration. Serves both the team and the customer at a consistently high level.

  • Demonstrates problem-solving and analytical skills appropriate for the position.
